Not a list of attractions. These are places we happily visit ourselves.

Bačvice is the city beach, a few minutes on foot — sand, shallow water and cafés by the sea. Ovčice is a little further and quieter, a pebble beach. Kašjuni and Bene lie on Marjan among the pines, reached by bus or a longer walk.

We are especially proud of Diocletian’s Palace, the ancient heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. Wander its streets and walls, discover its historic landmarks and enjoy the atmosphere of its cafés and restaurants.
We give these personally, from our own experience, so you can enjoy traditional dishes at their best.

Ferries and catamarans to the Dalmatian islands leave from the ferry port, 7–8 minutes on foot from the apartment. Šolta is the closest and the quietest. Brač is a large island with several towns and beaches, Zlatni rat among them. Hvar and Vis call for an early departure if you want to enjoy them as a day trip.
Trogir, a UNESCO-listed town, is about an hour away by bus. Krka National Park is around 90 minutes’ drive. Omiš, at the mouth of the Cetina canyon, is ideal for rafting and climbing. Klis and Solin are closer, if you are travelling without a car.
For much of Split you will not need a car. For trips outside the city, plan on a bus, a boat, a transfer or a car. The walk from the apartment down to the water and into town is described on the location page.
