Close, and quiet
Everything on foot, through a quiet quarter.
Every sight is within walking distance, through a quiet old fishermen’s quarter of stone Dalmatian houses and green shutters. A few minutes later you are on the Riva and in the old town, at the walls of Diocletian’s Palace.
The same route, the other way, ends at Bačvice. And when you come back and close the shutters, what is left is a street without traffic and a tree canopy at the balcony — the bustle of the city is behind you, though you are minutes from all of it on foot.
Beaches
The sea as part of everyday life, not a day trip.
Bačvice is Split’s best-known city beach — sand, shallow water and cafés by the sea. Ovčice is a little further along and quieter, a pebble beach.

By ferry
The ferry port is a 7–8 minute walk away, on the same side of the old town.
By car
Free street parking is available nearby, subject to availability. Daniel is always happy to advise on where to find a spot.
